Last 5 June 2018 took place the second round of local training session in Rabat, Morocco. The aim of this event was to present the main features of the MIMIR project and also replicate the training within the MIMIR’s framework. More information here.

In a national event held at the MoHE, in Amman, Jordan, with the attendance of slightly over 150 guests including academic research deans of all national and some private universities, research centers, researchers from various academic and research institutes, MIMIR project was introduced over 3 hours of extensive lectures. In the framework of our MIMIR project, the Sapienza University of Rome hosted a 3-days Training addressed to university staff members from Moroccan and Jordanian Universities. The Training took place in Rome on 24-25-26 January 2018.  More information here.

A 2-day matching exercise has been organized in Kenitra Morocco in order to present the Jordanian and Moroccan national reports. This event aimed to “match” them with governance procedures, guidelines, principles and priorities to their existing EU partner universities counterparts, representing by Sapienza university.  More information

A roundtable on innovation and research management models in Morocco and Jordan, took place in Amman on July 12-13, 2017, with the aim of gathering together research and industry leaders and university top-management from Morocco and Jordan, as well as EU experts. READ MORE

The third (3rd) and final visit took place on 18-19 May 2017 at the University of Barcelona, Spain. The representatives from Moroccan and Jordanian universities had the opportunity to attend a high level meeting at the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean. They also visited different department of the Scientific Park of the University of Barcelona.

The MIMIr event took advantage of the organisation of the Fourth Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education (AECHE 4) at the University Mohammed V (member of the MIMIr partnership) on 25-26 April 2017 to present the MIMIr project and disseminate its first results. More than 200 high level Higher Education representatives from Europe and the Arab world took part to the conference, giving a large outreach and visibility to the MIMIr project. READ MORE

The 2nd Study Visit was held at the KU Leuven in Belgium on 20-21 March 2017. As for the previous visit held in Rome in 2016, the objective of this visit was to give the participants from Morocco and Jordan a concrete understanding of the research and innovation capacities in this university. This event was held in the premises of the KU Leuven, right after the Study Visit (Dev. 2.2). This conference aimed at presenting and discussin the current and incoming trends in the field of researhc and innovaiton in Europe, as well as present different models. This conference was also the opportunity to discuss the Draft Handbook on European Innovation and Research Management (Dev. 2.4) with all the consortium members and especially get the feedbacks from the Jordanian and Moroccan colleagues. A team of experts conducted field visit to the Moroccan and Jordanian Universities. The University of Montpellier and the University of Milan undertook on 17-19 January 2017 the visit of the Univeristy Mohammed V of Rabat, the University Sultan Moulay Slimane in Béni Mellal,  and the University Ibn Tofail in Kénitra. On 14-16  February 2017, representatives from the European University Association and the University of Barcelona, visited the Jordan University for Science and Technology in Irbid, the Al Balqa Applied University in Al-Salt, and the University of Jordan located in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The first visit held in the framework of the Deliverable 2.2 Study Tours, was organised at the Sapienza University in Rome, Italy on 21-22 November 2016. A specific visit was made to the Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Laboratory and the Moroccan and Jordanian representatives had the opportunity during these two days to directly interact and exchange with Sapienza University’s staff.
